What you can expect:

After a brief consultation your shade will be picked; we can chose from a light sun kissed glow, deeper bronze effect to our double dark mix. You will dress down to your level comfort, meaning nude (men must wear underwear), bikini, bra and underwear or even a tank top and short shorts. Whatever you chose to wear, although the solution does not stain, please wear darker colored clothes. A luminous ph balancing spray to sprits to prep your skin and barrier cream is applied to hand & feet so they do not over absorb the tanning solution. Our expert therapists will then personally do the airbrush spraying service. We can always customize the airbrush to what you want for example: darker legs and a lighter face (or vice versa). After the spray we have a gentle fan that allows the already quick drying solution soak in even more, before dressing. We recommend you bring cloths to put back on that are loose fitting to avoid lines and rub marks on the way home.

How to prep:

- Exfoliate skin prior to your appointment *can purchase a body exfoliating towel $2.50+ tax

- Come to appointment with no body lotion, no-make-up & if possible no antiperspirant / deodorant

- Wear a bikini, bra & undies, tank & shorts or even nude (men must wear under wear)

- Have loose fitting clothing to put on after the appointment; this will insure no rub lines.

How to care for your spray:

- Do not shower for at least 8 hours after your new beautiful spray tan. When you do shower use mild water and gentle shower products, a dark "color guide" pigment will rinse off but your true sunless color will remain for days.

- Do not do any harsh exfoliation treatments- if you do your tan will slough off with the dead skin cells and fade significantly.

- Moisturize with a specialty tan extender product daily. Or use a non-scented gentle body moisturizer. Heavy perfumed, oil based moisturizers can break down your new color faster.

- Our sunless tanning spray solution will start to fade within 5 days with most of your color gone in 7. But it all depends on your care; following up your spray with at home daily sunless product can help maintain your color even longer. **We have top quality at home tan extenders available for purchase to help your tan even longer.

- Excessive hot showers, steam, chlorine and long bouts in the sun can fade your color quicker.

Common Questions:

Can I get a spa service before my spray tan appointment? If time is a factor than yes you can. However when oil, wax and lotions are freshly used on the skin you do run the risk of not as even of color. If you were to have waited till another day we can guarantee and very even tan. We have had successful sprays right after waxing, facials and massage appointments so if you desire we can do it the same day. You will be given a moist towel to remove any access oils from any service we do before the wax.

What is the difference between being airbrushed and using cream or lotion sunless tanners at home? Imagine the difference between finger painting your car and using an airbrush to paint it. Even with the greatest of care, and help from a friend to get all the places you cannot reach, you can't duplicate the even consistency and natural look of an airbrushed tan.

What if a person normally can't get very tan? A person CAN get a sunless tan even if they can't get a real tan. Our sunless tanning solution does not need a person's melanocytes to be in working order. Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), the active ingredient in our sunless tanning solution, saturates the dead skin cells in the outermost layer of skin, where it turns the protein in the dead cells golden tan.

Normally I freckle in the sun... will sunless tanning cause freckles? No. Our tanning solutions will not cause more freckles. In fact, in most cases, freckles and blemishes will become LESS obvious because the lighter skin areas will darken and reduce the color differential between these areas and the rest of the skin.

Can pregnant or nursing mothers get a sunless pray tan? The concern some doctors have is over whether or not the active ingredient (DHA) is able to enter the blood stream; the indications are that it cannot. DHA only penetrates the outermost of the skin. However, if the client is still concerned they should consult their physician first. FYI: DHA has been used as a cosmetic ingredient in the United States since 1960 and no problems have ever been reported concerning DHA penetrating the skin, or causing problems during pregnancy.

What is the advantage of Sunless Airbrush tanning over UV tanning? Airbrush tanning is an alternative form of tanning. People with sensitive skin or people who have a hard time tanning, be it natural or in tanning beds will find this form of tanning very comforting. One application with airbrush tanning will be equivalent to approximately 6 tanning bed sessions, there for making it cost effective. Airbrush tanning also spares the skin of excessive wear and tear and free from potential burns caused by the sun or tanning beds.

Why isn't there any SPF in your spray tanning solution? Applied correctly, the protection in any sun block will at most last 4-8 hours. Since Sunless tanning Airbrush Tans lasts for 5-7 days (up to 10 for some people), adding SPF would not provide protection for the life of your tan and could be misleading. Our sunless tanning solutions do not contain a sunscreen and do not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while UV tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.
